This 5-night, 4-round itinerary is designed for June through September, when Hokkaido’s open landscapes are at their best. Golf courses were selected with Golf Digest Japan Tour Center and include The North Country Club, Hokkaido Brooks Country Club, Katsura Golf Club (Robert Trent Jones Jr.), and Hokkaido Classic Golf Club (Jack Nicklaus). Travel is by private car or van. The trip is based in Sapporo for convenience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Sapporo

You arrange travel to New Chitose Airport (flights to and from Chitose are not included).

Meet the English-speaking guide at the airport and transfer by private car to the hotel (approximately 40–50 minutes) with luggage and golf clubs.

Stay at JR Tower Nikko Sapporo – 5 nights.


Day 2: Golf at The North Country Club

Private transfer from the hotel. 18 holes at The North Country Club with caddie and cart (no mid-round meal break).

Meal available at the club after the round.

Day 3: Golf at Hokkaido Brooks Country Club

18 holes at Hokkaido Brooks Country Club, a woodland course, with caddie and cart.

Day 4: Golf at Katsura Golf Club

18 holes at Katsura Golf Club, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, with caddie and cart.

Day 6: Golf at Hokkaido Classic – Departure

18 holes at Hokkaido Classic Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus course, with caddie and cart.

After golf, private transfer to New Chitose Airport. Flights from Chitose are not included.

Travel or itinerary extensions (additional nights, golf, or destinations) are available on request.

    • Courses, hotels, and experiences are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed. When a first-choice property or course is unavailable, we offer an alternative of similar standard.

    • Pricing is based on double occupancy. Higher-category hotels or ryokans can be quoted on request.

    • Private transfers are available to and from Narita and Haneda (and New Chitose when the itinerary is in Hokkaido).

    • Travel insurance is recommended and is the responsibility of each traveler.

    • Tee times are typically confirmed 2 to 3 months in advance. Alternate courses may be used for availability, tournaments, or maintenance.

    • Japanese golf is a full-day club visit: check-in, the round, often a sit-down lunch between nines on Honshu, then checkout.

    • Hokkaido courses more often play through without a mid-round meal.

    • A sport jacket is usually required entering and leaving the clubhouse. Caddies are typical for visitors. Tipping is not customary; if you give one, it is not included in the tour.

    • Many clubs have a bath or onsen after play.
