personality, from the long par 5's on the Green Course to the waterholes and
hilly terrain on the White Course to the demanding tee shots on the Gold Course.
Combined with the second highest slope rating in Maryland, the variety of these
27 holes makes Wakefield Valley a golfer's delight!
It is no surprise, therefore, that Wakefield Valley has been host to the U.S.
Open and U.S. Amateur Qualifiers, as well as many other USGA and MAPGA events.
And, the best part is that Wakefield is open to the public year round.
From Baltimore Metro Area: Take I-795
North off the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) to Route 140 West toward Westminster.
Follow 140 approximately 20 minutes to stoplight for Royer Road (just past Best
Western). Turn left on Royer Road and follow to stop sign. Turn right on
Uniontown Road. Make first left on Bell Road. Club is 200 yards on the left.
From Washington Metro Area: Take I-270
to Route 27 North. Follow 27 through Damascus and Taylorsville. Go through
Westminster to Rt. 140 W to Rt. 31. Left on Rt. 31 to second light. Turn right
onto Uniontown Road. Bell Road is approximately 1 mile on the left (2 streets
past the elementary school). Turn left on Bell. Club is 200 yards on the left.
