The Sheraton Colonial Golf Club is located north
of Boston, where this traditional New England style golf course is regarded as
one of the finest public golf courses. The 6,565 yard, par 70 layout features
rolling hills and fresh-water marshes surrounded by many picturesque seasonal
growth. This golf course for years has been considered the premier public golf
course on the North Shore.
This beautiful 220-acre property, complete
with a 280-room hotel, function facility and the North Shore's premier health
and fitness center, host many golf tournaments for both private groups as well
as public.
Players enjoy a challenging round of golf with this well
designed golf course. Players with accuracy off the tee are rewarded with good
position for shots into these good size greens. The fresh-water marsh areas can
create some tight landing areas in the fairways. While rolling hills give the
players approach shots to some elevated greens. The variety of hole designs
makes it a fun challenge every time you play this course.
Golfers can
enjoy a light meal or beverage in the clubhouse after their round. The facility
also has a full practice range which offers golf instruction. There are annual
golf memberships available at a reasonable rate. Members enjoy a schedule of
golf tournaments throughout the season hosted by the professional staff. They
also have use of the locker room facilities as well as other
benefits.
