Cibaria Cucina Italiana opened its doors in October of 1996, an extension of DaVinci Ristorante Italiano, established in 1975, and Trattoria Pina, established in 1993.Owners, Cosmo and Anna Ali, immigrated from Italy in 1967, settled in Tucson in 1970 and opened DaVinci in 1975.

With culinary experience from Italy, Cosmo brought his ideas to America, winning "Best Italian Restaurant in Tucson" for 5 consecutive years starting in 1990. Cosmo and his family have built a solid reputation in the Italian food industry. In 1993, the first extension of DaVinci, Trattoria Pina was opened in Tucson.
